I’ll try to catch you up… wish I had written things as they’d happened. We had some AWESOME (!!!) unit 1 & unit 2 studio sessions (level 1). Such fun! Each teacher is a little different. They emphasize different things — and they all have different accents! And little games here & there in class. Totally loving it!
I made us stop taking unit 1 classes — I think we were intimidating others, heh. It’s hard to be supportive of beginners when you want to BE FLUENT!!!
So on to level 2! We were still mostly too advanced, but there were a couple of new concepts & words. At least we had to stop & think a little! We took 2-3 classes while we finished unit 3.
Then we took a unit 3 Studio. It wasn’t as fun. I think it might be because they all spend so much time on 1 & 2 that unit 3 doesn’t get practiced or planned for by the teachers. Or maybe it was just our teacher. Or maybe just a bad night for all of us. Not really sure. But I got a bit discouraged… I didn’t want to take 3 again, but 4 seemed so far away!
We’re buying a house & the holidays were upon us, so we took a break. A long one…. We just picked it up again this week. I’ve already forgotten things! I feel so rusty!!! Daily practice really is important!
We finished off unit 4… now we’re ready for the next Studio! Yay!! I want to take at least 1 more class of unit 3 as well — I really need to brush up on it. There’s a lot of new stuff there, and 4 has even more.
But the big thing to note is: We dinged!!!! We’re now in Rosetta Stone Spanish 2!!
